XLRI Jamshedpur to increase strength for BM and HRM programmes
After SP Jain Institute, XLRI School of Business and Human Resources, Jamshedpur is also planning to increase the student intake in its Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (BM) and Post Graduate Program in Human Resource Management (HRM) by 60 seats each from 2013.
Approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is pending. The current batch for both the programmes has 120 students each. To maintain the ratio, the institute has leased a 10-acre plot adjoining the current campus grounds from Tata Steel over which new buildings for classrooms and hostels would be constructed.
Additionally, XLRI is also planning to increase the number of programmes as well as the faculty strength from next year onwards.
The new construction would include hostel blocks, classrooms and training halls. The construction that had began in the middle of 2011, is scheduled to complete by December 31, 2012.
