Students unhappy with the CMAT requirement Candidates appearing for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) this year appears to be troubled with test centers allocation and the requirement of getting one’s admit card attested by a gazetted officer.

Students feel that the test centers alloted to them are very far from their homes and attesting of admit cards by a gazetted officer is an unnecessary hassle which other entrance exams do not require. The admit card doesnot have information about the maximum permissible limit for entering the exam center.

As per the students, AICTE has not managed the things properly. The postponement of dates, issues with the download of admit card are some of the flicks.

On the other hand AICTE members do not feel that there is any ambiguity in the situation. There is a CMAT helpline to redress the problems of the candidates. Locations have been identified keeping in mind the majority of students appearing from that particular place/zone. The attestation of documents is to ensure that impersonation and inaccuracies do not occur.

AICTE believes that there is perfect synchronisation in the entire process.
