SP Jain Institute of Management and Research will increase intake SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai is planning to increase student intake in its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) to 240 starting 2013. The current capacity is 180. The institute is waiting for the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for the expansion.

As per the institute's official, they have the smallest batch of students amongst peer b-schools, which is why they are thinking on the lines of increasing the intake in the PGDM programm. The faculty strength will also be increased from 50 to 75. AICTE will release the list of approved new institutes, courses and intake revisions by May 2012.

SPJIMR will implement the increased intake from the 2013-2015 academic year. The students will be accommodated in the existing infrastructure itself. The institute has also applied to AICTE for inclusion of 15% foreign students in the PGDM programme as well to create  globalisation of the student body in class.
