Discussions on for Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test Education Ministers of states will hold a meeting on how to conduct a single entrance test for admissions to under graduate science and engineering programmes across the country.  11 education boards in the country have supported the move and other state governments will be asked to give their views in this regard.

Indian Science – Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET), is likely to be conducted in April or May next year and will have two parts -- ISEET main and ISEET advance. The two tests together will indicate a candidate’s scholastic level and aptitude for science and engineering.

The weightage of minimum 40 percent of the total score will be from Class 12th. The combined weightage for ISEET Main and Advance will not be more than 60 per cent; however, the weightage given to Board scores can go up to 100 per cent.The problem of bringing about  has been sorted out by Indian Statistical Institute. The Indian Statistical Institute has derived a formula to equalise Class XII marks across the boards.
