Australia getting good response from Indian students
Australia is once again gathering a rise in number of Indian students applying for admissions to its universities. Around 30 percent increase had been noticed, as compared to last year, in the number of student applications for Australian universities so far. There was a major decline in the number of Indian students going to Australia in 2010-11.
The decline was not just seen in Australia but also from all countries. It was because of the economic scenario, and high Australian dollar value. Another reason was the safety. Now vigil had been increased to ensure safety of students there. There is more patrolling, more police presence.
New visa rules in Australia is also a reason that is attracting more applications. The new visa rules allow students to stay for a few years (from two-four years) after completing their degree and work.
