UPES commenced its placement season 2010 in the backdrop of the global recession of 2009, a scenario where most of the corporates are still approaching fresh recruitments tentatively. ... >>UPES has left no stone unturned to provide best-in-class academic and allied infrastructure for its students. In fact UPES is the first University to successfully implement the SAP solution for Higher Education and Research (HE&R). It is also the first Energy University in the country to establish a working Bio-Diesel Laboratory.

UPES provides hostel facilities to its students on a 'first-come first-served basis'. Outstation students are given preference for these facilities. Two new blocks have recently been constructed and will be ready by the time the new batch arrives.
A separate reading room with latest magazines and newspapers has been provided in the hostels for the students to catch up on current affairs during their free time.
UPES provide extensive counselling and Personality Enhancement Programs (PEPs) during the tenure at UPES to prepare students for the rigours of professional life. Industry tours and summer internships are encouraged and facilitated to groom student's career ahead.
Summer Internships
Summer Internships are mandatory for all graduate and post graduate students.
The minimum duration of Summer Internships is 8 weeks.
All students are required to make a presentation at the end of their internship.
