Take One School of Mass Communication operates under the Guru Dronacharya Educational Society. This society is a registered body with the Registrar of Societies. Goverment of National Capital of Delhi. The School is a study center of The Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar established by an Act of Legislature of Haryana State on October 20, 1995 (Haryana Act 17 of 1995) to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and management studies, and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields. It was formally inaugurated on 1st November, 1995. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint and environmentalist of 15th century.
The University Grant Commission recognized this University under Section 2(F) for the recognition of degrees on 11.1.1996 and under Section 12(B) of the U.G.C. Act for Central assistance on 7.2.1997.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous organization of the UGC has accredited this University with 'A' Grade (Institutional Score 85%) in 2002 for a period of five years..

The Institute is equipped to offer varied courses ranging from production, direction, cinematography, concept development, research, screenplay and most updated computer- operations. The course also includes communication, creative and script writing, video technology, film studies, advertising, marketing and Public Relation. The course covers various aspects of print journalism, current socio-political and economic issues, basic journalism, radio journalism, TV journalism, web journalism, media studies and telecommunications. AUDIO-VISUAL EDITING :
Still composition through Single Lens Reflex camera and digital camera, the students are equipped with the technique of lighting, aperture, shutter speed and exposure. They are taught skills ranging from digital and analog video format to audio video conversion, compression, special effect, linear and non-linear editing, and off-line and on-line editing for special effects.
COMPUTER LAB :
Take One has a well-equipped computer lab with the latest computer software. Here, a multimedia unit encourages the student to exercise their creativity and explore new horizons. All computers are connected with Internet facilities. Internet as we all know is a warehouse of knowledge.
NEWS STUDIO :
There is a separate studio for anchoring and news reading. The trainees will be trained to read the news from a professional teleprompter as used by the commercial news channel.
EDITING LABS :
There separate labs for video editing and video graphics. The labs are equipped with the latest machines and software. Currently students are honing their skills on software's like AVID, FCP, Smoke etc.
LIBRARY :
It is rightly said - A library, to modify the famous metaphor of Socrates, should be the delivery room for the birth of ideas-a place where history comes to life. As well as providing curriculum support and research facilities, the library has an extensive collection of books and videos available on loan. The library subscribes to all major national dailies and periodicals. Audio & Video cassettes and CDs.

HOSTEL :
Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. The essential requirement such as security, safety and privacy have been taken due care of, so as or provide peaceful environment to the students to concentrate in their studies. TOS provide comfortable accommodation, good value for money and a friendly community in which to live. A dedicated team of wardens will look after you, ensuring that you are provided with a safe and comfortable home throughout your stay in Delhi.
