Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences and Research, has been established under the aegis of Lala Bhagwan Dass Educational Trust (Regd.), a Charitable Trust registered under the socities Registeration Act Act 1860, by Shri Dharamvir Gupta, its Founder President, to perpetuate the memory of his illustrious grandfather Lala Bhagwan Dass- a renowned social worker of his time, who propelled his children into the freedom struggle and social work for the benefit of society. Shri Dharamvir Gupta- a known educationist, carries with him vast and rich experience of managing educational institutions in engineering, medical, dental and allied fields. A co-trustee of Lala Nemi Chand Educational Trust (Regd.), established in the name of his father, a renowned freedom fighter who had suffered inhuman torture and solitary confinement in the condemned cells of the British jails; the Trust has a deep commitment to education which, it believes, is the key to social upliftment and empowerment. The trust runs N.C. College of Engineering, panipat, which has earned reputation as one of the best engineering colleges in the country. After the dawn of freedom, lalaji launched himself into social work in true Gandhian spirit and was responsible for setting up a number of educational institutions. It is with this objective and in continuum of the lofty ideals of his fahter that the trust later established a number of quality educational institutions as a tribute to lalaji by the heirs of his legacy. The engineering college of the Trust with world-class infrastructure on a plot admeasuring 30 acres at Israna near Panipat has produced thousands of enginnering graduates, who have secured lucrative jobs both at home and abroad through campus placements.

Each clinic is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art instruments and equipment, teaching tools and paraphernalia, beyond the curricular requirements. Many of the instruments and equipments are imported and of reputed international make. These keep the students abreast with the latest technological innovations and advancements in the application technology to medical practice throughout the world. At the same time, adequate safety measures are taken in setting up these laboratories to prevent accidents and radiation hazarads etc. All these equipments are subjected to preventive maintainance and calibrated regularly to ensure proper working for accurate results.

The library has been set up for meeting the information requirements of the academic community of the colege for collection, organization and dissemination of information. With its rich collection of more than 3500 books and continuous additions, the library has built up a huge collection on all branches of dental and medical sciences. At the same time, books of general interest in various subjects are not neglected either. The library also subscribes to a large number of national and international journals and periodicals. A digital library is also being set up and a number of books have since converted to the digital format.

The college has also set up a user-friendly library management system facilitating access to bibliographic record of books, journals and theises in the library.

DIGITAL LIBRARY

The digital library of the college has a huge reservoir of information converted into the digital format that can be accessed by the students and faculty through internet. The information updated on a regular basis incorporates the latest developments in the medical, dental and healthcare arena thereby keeping its users abreast with the latest advancements across the globe.

The digital library also helps in reprographics and creation of biliographies for further study and research. The information on this portal is systematically classified subject-wise facilitating easy referral. This feature makes our information resource access facility a unique system. The users also have the liberty to access other medical journals and periodicals available in the digital format.

Accommodation
Seperate hostel accommodation is available for boys and girls. A home away from home- the hostels make the students' stay comfortable within the campus. Each hostel is manned by seperate wardens available round-the-clock. Admission to hostel is open to full-time regular students admitted to a regular course of study in the college. Accommodation in the hostel is limited to the duration of the course to which the student is admitted. No one is eligible for accommodation in the hostel for taking supplementary examinations. Application forms for admission to college hostels are made available to the students seeking hostel accommodation at the time of their admission to the college. These are to be filled up and returned forthwith along with two copies of passport
