Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly is a self financed institute managed and run by SRMS Trust, Bareilly. It is founded in 1996 and the college has demonstrated perennial evidence of merit and quality by achieving a respectable position among all parallel private and govt. colleges of UP Technical University. The college offers comprehensive facilities for achieving the highest standards of academic excellence for students and faculty and college is also selected for TEQIP of National Project Implementation Unit of Govt. of India to be financed by World Bank.

This cell is activated collectively by the students and the heads of the departments. The cell is well-equipped with independent staff, modern means of communication etc.

Library is the heart of any institution. Dr. Asha Gupta Central Library was founded with the establishment of Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology in the year 1996. The library is governed by Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust , Bareilly.

The library began its journey with a collection of mere two thousand books of different subjects related to Engineering, Management, along with a few periodicals. Under the guidance of founding Chairman of the SRMS Trust, the library has grown rapidly over the years and is today a treasure house of learning resources. The library is presently housed in a new double storey state of art building. The Library shifted to the new building on 20th March, 2003. The new building was inaugurated by Prof. D.S.Chauhan, then Vice Chancellor of U.P.Technical University, Lucknow. The library has a capacity of 285 users at a time. The library building is divided into several sections spread over a covered area of approx. 17378.00 sq.ft.. 

The library caters its services to Students, Faculty members, Research Scholars and Staff of the college. The library presently has more than 2600 regular members. The Library is open for fifteen hours every day from 0800 Hrs to 2300 Hrs. The Library aims to facilitate its users in their endeavor for study, teaching and research etc., The library ensures collection, prevention and protection of the invaluable treasure of rare Books, Journals, Magazines, Newspapers and Audio videos. 

The Library is air-conditioned, fully automated and uses friendly Soft-link Asia’s “Alice for Windows”, Library Management Software. The Library is using 22nd edition of Dewey Decimal Classification scheme for classifying the books, and follows AACR II for cataloguing. Library has developed a comprehensive collection of information that is useful for teaching and reference purposes The learning resources are upgraded regularly as per requirements and the indent received from users. Even students can place an indent for procuring books which is of interest to them.

The Library at present houses more than 40000 Books, five thousand back volumes of periodicals and journals, 200 Standards, 2500 CD-ROMs, Project reports etc. on different disciplines like Computers Science & Technology, various streams of engineering, Business, Management, Pharmacy, and its Allied Sciences. Beside the above collection, Library has also a rich collection of books on English / Hindi Language & Literature, fictions and non-fictions, Biographies, Religion, Sports, Geography, History, Architecture and books relating to Personality Development and Business promotion etc.. Library is presently subscribing to about 125 National and International Journals, 50 Magazines in print form annually, 12 daily Newspapers. More than 500 International Online Journals in different areas are also subscribed through INDEST-AICTE consortium and Springer Link.

Sports:

The college provides facilities to students to pursue a wide range of sporting activities on the campus. The outdoor facilities include athletics (6 Lane 400 Meters Track field with all accessories ), hockey, footwall and cricket fields. Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis and badminton courts and an indoor recreation hall for table tennis, chess, carom, etc..

Wide range of sports facilities are available for indoor and outdoor games. A multipurpose hall and a Gym are also constructed in the campus for various indoor sports and various activities.

Cafeteria:

A Canteen facility is also available in the campus with wide range of services. Canteen provides all normal daily requirements of the students on payment basis. It remains open till 11.00pm every working days. Nescafe, Ice ream cold drinks etc are served in these canteen along with other items. 

Beside the episodic events, Cafeteria, ( Nescafe KIOSKS, Cold Drink, Ice-cream point, Open air restaurant etc.) is the place where students get a lot relaxation and enjoy their free time.

Guest House:

 SRMS trust maintains a 12 rooms air-cooled/air-conditioned guest house with all three star boarding and lodging facility. The college provides the facility of guest house for parents/visitors on payment basis. There are separate charges for staying in the guest house and for availing the fooding facility also. The the Guest House facilities are provided at subsidized rate.

The College consists of separate hostels for boys and girls in the campus itself.
