Library is the soul of  educational institution. The College Library has been an integral part of academic endeavor in college. Keeping in view intensive and extensive use, the library is being constantly enriched by the acquisition of latest books and journals keeping in pace with changing times, to further the advancement of the University's academic activities.

The Central Library at SIET caters to the information needs of the institute’s faculty, students, staff, research institutions & industries. Institute library will have around 42,000 books. The collection in the library comprises printed documents such as books; reports, thesis, standards, atlases, patents and journal back volumes.

The library is fully computerized and the The Central Library is equipped with the most modern furniture and is specially designed taking into consideration the future growth of the library collection and needs of the users in the coming years. The present seating capacity is about 400, which is likely expand in near future. Students are encouraged to use the library as a reading room. Students can bring in their own books and reference materials to study individually. For the convenience of the students the library works 6 days in a week.

There is a separate Provision of Book Bank, through which the students are issued Free Text Books in Each Semester.

"Books may be borrowed for three weeks with the exception of Reference books (indicated by a label) which may not leave the library. Students can renew books at any time, including outside of library hours, by sending an email. A photocopier and printers are available in the library for student use".

SIET provides excellent hostel facilities for students. Boys hostel and Girl hostels are located in the campus itself so it makes easy access between college  and students. The hostels and hostel facilities are of high quality and well equipped. The boys hostel can accommodate 400 boys and girls hostel 200 girls respectively Members of the teaching staff are appointed as Resident Tutors in the hostel. The rooms provide most modern facilities and privacy .

The hostel system runs under the control of chief warden and resident tutors. All the hostels have mess facilities for students. The mess is spacious, highly hygienic and elegant. The hostel complex for girls is managed by nuns. Internet and computer facilities are also available in the hostel.
