SUSGOI is promoted by Desh Bhagat Memorial Educational Trust. The Trust is led by Er. Sukhwinder Singh Sidhu (Chairman), Dr. J.S. Dhaliwal (Vice Chairman) and S. Gurlabh Singh Sidhu (Gen. Secretary) who are professionals and dedicated to the cause of education. The objective of the Trust is to develop a nucleus campus that should impart quality technical education in various disciplines of Engineering, Management, Science and Technology, to meet the increasing needs of the new millennium. Since its inception in 1997, SUS Group has followed an exponential growth path and has emerged as a leading self financed group in the northern region providing quality education in emerging fields of technology. Sports:
Sports is an important activity, which has to be carried out to take care of the all round development of the students and to inculcate a sense of healthy competition amongst them. SUSGOI is proud to have developed a good infrastructure for outdoor games like Cricket, Football, Hockey, Basketball, Handball, Kabbaddi and Volleyball. SUSGOI has also eight lane flassy grassed 400 mts athletic track. Facilities for indoor games like Chess, Carrom, Badminton and Table Tennis have also been made available to the students. Knowing the importance of sports in today's scientific era, due emphasis is laid on student participation in various sports, to ensure the shaping of the overall personality, health and fitness of an individual student.

SUSGOI students have brought laurels to their colleges by representing in various inter-colleges and inter-university Sports Meets from time to time.

Transportation:
A fleet of 28 buses is available for commuting the students from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ropar, Patiala and Ambala to the college and back on co-operative payment basis. In addition, a staff bus, an ambulance and a mini bus are available full time in the campus.

Dispansary:
Adequate healthcare facilities are provided in-house for hostellers, day boarders, faculty and staff. A qualified doctor and paramedic staff are available on campus to look after the minor ailments of faculty, staff and students. Medicines are given free of cost. The doctor holds routine checkup of students and faculty and counsels them on preventive and therapeutic measures regarding common diseases. An ambulance is stationed at the campus 24×7 to meet with any medical exigency.

The college has tied up with a multi specialty hospital at Banur, which provides state of the art primary and tertiary health care facilities. Besides this, the college also liased with one hospital in Mohali(on retainer-ship basis) to deal with any medical emergency.

As per the PTU curriculum, students undergo 2 months and 6 months industrial training. Training and placement department facilitates the training of students by helping students to choose and apply to the leading organizations for the industrial training.
