Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research(MAHER):

The Govt. of India in Ministry of Human Resource Development and Department of Secondary and Higher Education.New Delhi on the advise of the University Grants Commission, conferred Deemed to be University status to "Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER)" as Per Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 Vide Govt. Notification No.f.9-5/2002-U.3, dated.31.03.2004. At the time of conferment of Deemed University status, BDS and MDS Courses were conducted at Meenakshi Ammal Dental College, Maduravoyal, Chennai - 600 095.

Regular health check-ups and medical facilities are available to all students. A resident Doctor is available round the clock. For Medical emergencies, we have a medical college with in the campus and also have access to two nearby hospitals.

Separate Hostel accommodation is available for girls and boys. The Girls Hostel has the facility of Separate Kitchen, Mess, health support, Telephone lines and a cloak room. The boys hostel can house upto 400 Boys and has a separate Kitchen and Mess.
