The 6th Annual 24 FPS Awards 2009 was held on Friday, 6th of November at the S.R.P.F. Grounds, Goregaon (E), Mumbai. The Awards saw the best of animation and visual effects works done by Hollywood, Bollywood and the ad-world. The event saw nominations not only from domestic studios and young animators but also attracted an incredible participation from countries like China and Canada too. This year 24 FPS Awards had introduced 3 new categories viz The Viewer’s Choice Award, Outstanding Contribution to Indian Animation Education Industry and The Best Game Design. The event was graced by the presence of veteran film director Ketan Mehta.The evening not just saw the who’s who of the animation industry but was further adorned by stage performances by glamorous actress Kim S

From more than 200 film entries across India for 21 different award categories, 24FPS Awards 2009 had a whopping response with more than 3000 students attending the event. The films were judged along the parameters encompassing several aspects of animation film production such as Story and Concept, Animation, Modeling, texturing, Lighting, Visual Effects to name a few.
