Started in 1994 as an Under Graduate Institution with just two courses (B.Sc. Computer Science and B.Sc. At present the College has 3187 students and 173 staff within its fold. It offers 13 UG, 17 P.G. 10 M.Phil., 4 Ph.D., programmes, 2 PG-Diploma Courses and One Certificate Course and wide variety of inter-disciplinary and extra-disciplinary courses under the Choice Based Credit System.

It is affiliated to Bharathidasan University and is fast emerging as Numero Uno among the self-financing colleges under the jurisdiction of the University.The campus breathes a rare academic and co-curricular ambience conducive to teaching-learning and research. In 2003 the College gained the distinction of being accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore at the B++ level – the first self-financing college in the Bharathidasan University region to gain this grade and honour. 

Apart from the College buildings and the Hostel buildings for Men and Women, the other facilities for the students available inside the campus include a Health Centre, Post Office, ATM Counter of two banks, Canteen, Visitors Guest House etc.

The Placement Cell started functioning from the academic year 2000-2001.Currently it has five of the teaching faculty as its members.

One among them is the Coordinator.

The Cell helps students to secure placement in reputed institutions. The latest placements were in M/s. Satyam computers,Wipro Technologies and the City union bank,Wherever possible, the students are placed in small companies as well.

To assess the strength and weakness of job aspirants, tests are being conducted. Pre- interview training is also organized just a day or two before of the interview.

Transport:

The College has Buses and vans to transport Day-scholars to and from the college.

Health and Care:

The health centre takes care of the normal health needs of students and staff. It is open from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. A trained nurse is on duty during these hours. A physician visits the centre on alternate days. The doctor can be called any time. The service of this Centre is extended to the community in villages located near the College. Emergency cases are referred to the Government Hospital or a private clinic with an escort. A separate van is stationed for this purpose round the clock. A mini Pharmacy is available in the centre. General Medical Checkup is done for new entrants after admission.

Post Office:

A Sub-Post Office is functioning in the College campus from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. with all services like Registration, Money Order, Savings Bank, Life Insurance etc.

ATM Facility:

Two ATM counters are available in the Campus.

Cafeteriya:

A Canteen functions in the Campus in the Canteen and Guest House Block. It is open from 7.30 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. It serves Soft Drinks, Snacks, Light Tiffin and Meals. Fast food services are also available.

Guest House:

A few rooms for guests are available in the Canteen-Guest House Block to stay.

Gym Facility:

The College has a 16 station multi gym and a Fitness Centre open during morning and evening hours, under the care of the Department of Physical Education. It helps students to keep fit and maintain good health.

Others Facility:

BSNL Exchange and Tower : For the benefit of the students and the local community a BSNL exchange and a tower have been established in the College campus.

The College has separate hostels for Special care is taken to that the inmates are comfortable and healthy.
