Dar-Us-Salam Educational Trust (DET) was established in the year 1974 as a self financing minority institution under the founder chairmanship of Alhaj Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi (Member of Parliament) whose guidance over the years has been a great source of inspiration. Dar-us-Salam educational trust is presently under the dynamic chairmanship of Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi (Member of Parliament).
Dar-us-salam educational trust is young, energetic and eager to engage more creative minds in the quest of knowledge for the improvement of society both materially, humanistically and chose to focus in the fields of medicine, engineering, business management disciplines which enhance quality of human condition in fast paced age.
The vision of the department is to link a bridge between the corporate and the students of this college. This department has a tie up with Satyam Corporation and making efforts to line up with the multi national companies . Our students are placed in Microsoft , Infosys , Satyam and Zetatek.
Awareness is also being created among the final year students to become a successful entrepreneur . Programmes on Entrepreneurship is being conducted to ignite the talents of our technocrats.

The central library has a floor area of 766 Sq.Mtr. It has 7320 titles , 34667 volumes , 488 project reports . The college subscribes 77 National and 50 International Technical journals .
hostel is located half - a - km from the Institute. Fully furnished rooms are provided on twin-sharing basis to the students. The rooms are well ventilated and air-conditioned with attached bathrooms. Essential facilities like computer center with internet connectivity, functional library, gymnasium, room with indoor games and STD/ISD are also provided.
Training and Placement Cell is being headed by Mr.Mohammed Muzammil Khan,faculty of Mech.Engg.Dept. The department of Training and placement is actively involved in catering to the need of the students employment . The placement cell assists the final year students in preparing a professional resume , giving training for group discussion and conducting mock interviews to develop the confidence in students .
