CAET is a lively institution, with its dedicated & qualified teaching staff. The college is well equipped with modern laboratory facilities to meet the challenge & the need of the Govt. and Industries.
The students undergo 60 days vocational training in various leading industries and training institutes as a part of their curriculum. The students undertake a Project work in their final year as partial fulfillment of their requirement for the degree. They also present a technical seminar on the recent advancements in various fields.

OBJECTIVES

To organize and conduct Under Graduate and Post Graduate programs in Agricultural Engineering leading to Bachelors’, Masters’ and Doctoral Degree.

To undertake basic and applied research in different aspects of Agricultural Engineering covering production, protection, value addition, marketing and management.

To develop technologies suitable for the region in the field of farm power and agro-energy, farm machinery and equipment, soil and water conservation engineering, post harvest and process engineering, food and dairy engineering and other related areas.

To organize short term training programs and vocational course in the specialized areas of Agricultural Engineering.

To organize programs related to transfer of technologies for Agriculture and rural development.

To collaborate with other agencies involved in teaching, research and developmental programs in the field of Agricultural Engineering, Nationally and Internationally.

To provide consultancy services to farmers and others engaged in Agricultural and rural development, particularly in application of engineering principles and practices.

The institute has well equipped laboratories of improved implements, farm machinery, farm power, soil and water conservation engineering, farm structures, soil mechanics, hydraulics, irrigation equipments, agricultural processing, mechanical engineering, I.C. Engine, Ergonomics and Safety, food processing, food analysis laboratory, food engineering laboratory, food technology laboratory.

LIBRARY:
The central library, housed in a spacious and well furnished double storied building has a good collection of books of more than 3 lakh volumes. It subscribes 210 number of Indian and foreign Journals and is considered as one of the biggest libraries in the state. It also has collection of over 3000 Masters and Ph.D. Thesis for reference of s

e-LIBRARY :
The construction of e-library has added a new dimension to the Institute. It has 100 PCs connected in LAN. It has Internet facilities and high-speed printers. With advent of this e-library students are very much benefited.

Computer Center:
The computer center has a group of network micros (PCs, PC/ATs) equipped with high-speed printers, scanners & plotters and has dedicated VSAT system for 24 hr internet & e-mail facility. Computer laboratory for PG students are loaded with AUTOCAD and ProE for their research work.

The main objectives of this computer center are to impart computer knowledge among students and faculties and to obtain statistical, scientific and simulation packages through national and international linkages to cater the educational needs of Agricultural Engineering sector.

Training Programme:
To gain practical experience, students undergo two months intensive practical training programme after 4th semester and 6th semester in leading institutions of India like NDRI, Karnal, CRIDA, Hyderabad, NRFMTTI, Hissar, CFMTTI, Budni, SRFMTTI, Anantpur, Escorts, Bangalore, M&M, Mumbai, IGMRI, Hapur,  HMT, Pinjore, TAFE, Chennai, CIAE, Bhopal, CSSRI, Karnal, CSWCRTI, Derhadun, DVC, Hazaribagh etc.
This is supplemented by regular study tours to various industrial establishments, sister agricultural universities and premier agro-based industries across the country.
