The College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (CAET) established in the year 1966 and one of the leading colleges under SAU-ICAR system, is imparting education, research and extension in the field of Agricultural Engineering. It provides highly qualified technical and managerial human resources to the public and industrial sector through its B.Tech, M.Tech Programmes.
Every year 60 students are inducted through a tough selection procedure with equal weightage to the career marks secured at 10th and +2 level and entrance test conducted by OUAT, thereby ensuring the intake of highly meritorious students.

The institute has well equipped laboratories of improved implements, farm machinery, farm power, soil and water conservation engineering, farm structures, soil mechanics, hydraulics, irrigation equipments, agricultural processing, mechanical engineering, I.C. Engine, Ergonomics and Safety, food processing, food analysis laboratory, food engineering laboratory, food technology laboratory.
LIBRARY:
The central library, housed in a spacious and well furnished double storied building has a good collection of books of more than 3 lakh volumes. To gain practical experience, students undergo two months intensive practical training programme after 4th semester and 6th semester in leading institutions of India like NDRI, Karnal, CRIDA, Hyderabad, NRFMTTI, Hissar, CFMTTI, Budni, SRFMTTI, Anantpur, Escorts, Bangalore, M&M, Mumbai, IGMRI, Hapur, HMT, Pinjore, TAFE, Chennai, CIAE, Bhopal, CSSRI, Karnal, CSWCRTI, Derhadun, DVC, Hazaribagh etc.
This is supplemented by regular study tours to various industrial establishments, sister agricultural universities and premier agro-based industries across the country.
For the all round development, students are encouraged to participate in extra curricular activities like debating, creative writing, sports, horse-riding, NSS and cultural activ
