Not happy with your performance in your CAT scores ? Not eough scores to make it to IIM's ? Depressed ! , thinking what next ?  It reminds of one beautiful quote : "When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one, which has been opened for us.”...these are the words from famous Helen Kellar , the American Auther, poltical activist  and the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Need to tell students that the long journey has just begun and  there is nothing to worry about. There is always other unlimited number of doors – "new opportunities" . The mantra is to move beyond one 'experiment', what pessimist refer as 'failures' .Coming to the point, there are many other premier management institues of the country which don't consider CAT score. Some of these Institutes  like XLRI , FMS , TISS or IIFT are considered better than some of the new IIMS.  TISS conduct their own admission tests. XLRI accept GMAT and have their own group admission tests. Most others accept scores from common entrances like the MAT, ATMA and GMAT.Let us not forget e  state-level entrance exams for aspirants within their own states . Most of the state level institues  requires state domiciles as an elgibility of these tests.
